Blowdryer wishes and flat iron dreams.
Just blew out my hair for NYE festivities. It’s the first time I’ve seen it straight in over three years. I look like a Diana Ross buttrocker Barbie with a thing for the Ronettes. I’m not sure whether I hate or love this - I think it’s a little of both.

We’ve got to be able to recognize that genders can be powerful, beautiful, liberating, and meaningful tools just as we are able to recognize that genders can be destructive, harmful, and restricting.

oceanofmind: “Self-respect is often mistaken for arrogance when in reality it is the opposite. When we can recognize all our good qualities as well as or faults with neutrality, we can start to appreciate ourselves as we would a dear friend and experience the comfortable inner glow of respect. To embrace the journey towards our full potential we need to become our own loving teacher and...

For two hours on Halloween last year, Harvard Law School graduate Brian Schroeder built a bonfire in the Manhattan 9/11 chapel out of photos and mementos of people killed in the WTC attacks. His lawyer argued that his client was “profoundly intoxicated” during the arson, and may even have been drugged. And yesterday Schroeder himself told the judge, “I drank many alcoholic...
